Mind manipulation

Are we being controlled by alien beings that are adept at mind manipulation? Well, I'm rather inclined to agree that we are. Again, I refer to the said dream in which I was followed by an entity that masqueraded as a friend I'd known formerly. When I broke the influence of the music by singing my own song, it was distinctly aware of the effect this had on everyone else, as they did likewise. From there I left the setting from my school days to move on to another one set at a later stage in my life, when I was in my twenties; it followed me and sat next to me in a quiet alcove in a park. There was a distinct air that it wanted to have a word. The conversation we had was telepathic. It looked probingly into my eyes, as if it was playing mind games. It tried to make me feel guilty for breaking the spell, saying I was "betraying them, that I should not want to do this" But I got up and walked away, leaving it behind. It watched me intently for a while. I had walked a fair distance away before it started following me again, recovering the ground in leaps and bounds until it was level with me, flanking on the left hand side.
